Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (referred to as the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, or HKICPA) is based in Hong Kong, and was established on January 1, 1973 according to the Chapter 50 of "Professional Accountants Ordinance". It is the only legal registered professional accountants’ organization in Hong Kong, dedicated to supervision, training and development of the accounting profession in Hong Kong.

The HKICPA uses "the key to success, achievement co-see" (Successful Component) as the slogan, and it names the magazine as a plus sign, indicating a symbol of the success of its members to play a critical function in business and society.

The Global Accounting Alliance (referred to as the GAA) was founded in 2005, the HKICPA is one of the founding members. It, together with the other 11 professional accounting organizations of the world's major capital markets, jointly promotes the high quality services, and cooperates with the rest of the regulatory agencies, governments and connected persons on important international issues.
